In the end I just played with the other child in my setting trying to encourage her to join in but to no avail. At end of March I was given 4 weeks notice that she would be leaving as mum had been approached to take up childminding.
Have been childminding for 4 1/2 years - nearly 20 children through my books in that time!!
My setting is in the country so have advantage in that we have wide open spaces on the farm!!
At present it is not ideal as all my children now move to part time for the summer - in effect I am only really getting money for 2 full timers - definately not brilliant but cannot complain!! We have one in Limavady - 8 members to date with approx 15 children and we have a drop-in on Monday's at local Toy Library.
It has been great this winter but next winter we have quite a number moving on to playgroups etc so it will be interesting to see who we will have then!!
What will follow are checks - medical and police as well as your home safety. Claire, You also cold try Irene at the NICMA (Northern Ireland Childminding Association) office in Newtownards 02891811015.
